Ability to Dowse, absolutly depends on the strength of the signal at the time of Dowsing. Signal strength is not constant, and can vary from strong to weak within minutes. If you Dowse at a weak signal time, you can easily make mistakes, letting your mind wonder and wonder why it's not working. Learn how to check the strength at the time of the dowse, or you might look like an idiot to the non believers...

I have a friend that uses a CB radio to check for static in the area he is dowsing. High static even affects the TM808 2-box. Reduces depth up to 30%.

I was wondering if anybody else has noticed a decrease in signal strength, I've set up a guage with lead in the garage, and with the same rods, check it regularly. With my 0 to 10ft. guage the strongest i've seen is 7 ft. Normally running around 0 to 3ft. Lately strength runs from 0 to 1ft. Even swivel rods barely read the anomoly.. Is our magnetic field weakening to the point of shifting soon?

Apmospheric conditions used to really be a factor, during the time of primitive metal detectors...it still can affect both dowsers and detectors.

My old GTA 1000 used to with the elliptical coil, detect storms about 45 minutes before getting there. Once it was beeping 24 hours ahead of a major storm which produced a tornado. Usually, had the sensitivity maxed out, part of the problem. You could hold the coil up in the air and it beeped all the way from iron to silver, one notch at a time but continually.

You can still map dowse in electrified weather conditions while the storm is not in your area or passed...but it is slow, slow, slow. I like to wait for nice weather.

I have been dowsing via solar storms which are the suppliers of dowsing for 25 years. You mighten know the source dowser, but you hit the nail on the head re on and off dowsing strength.. max

I have also noted a decrease in the signal strength. The magnetic north pole is moving east at a greater speed than before. I check the solar activity using the Estimated KP chart at http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/today.html...When the readings are in the green the rods are very weak and when it is in the red they slam shut. The only problem is that the solar storms have been almost non existent in the last 5 years.
I do not hunt very much any more so when I do I go slowly and make sure that my readings are good…
I should also say that I am not a Mental Dowser so I can not comment on how the magnetic lines and the solar storms affect the mental dowsers…Art

It is the ideomotor effect that powers all L-rods, both those that are used as dowsing rods and those that are used in conjunction with so-called frequency generators (LRLs).

The source of the ideomotor effect is the operator's brain activity, hence on some days the response time and positive movements will be different from other days. This change in brain activity gives the illusion that the imaginary signals are changing in strength. There are no physical signal lines. They don't exist, except in the mind of the dowser.

Also, there is no such thing as physical dowsing, as opposed to mental dowsing. Dowsing is ALL mental dowsing, and if someone tells you they don't employ mental dowsing they are merely exhibiting a gross ignorance on the subject of dowsing. The term physical dowsing was introduced by an unscrupulous dowsing contraption salesman as a marketing gimmick. When the G&T-C heard the term they bought into the bogus idea and the marketing lie worked as planned.

The Truth About Dowsing is sometimes a bitter pill to swallow.... but it is still The Truth.

Man would kill Truth, if Truth would kill his religion.

Strange that you should you should say this. I just sent my first post to Bill in the psychic thread about ouija boards. And to my surprise i can no longer access this thread as "general public" as it is not appearing on the dropdown menu of the front page. But if i log in, the thread appears and my comments can be read. I didnt think what i wrote in my comments was that bad towards religion mearley stating facts. Does everyone have this problem, or just me?

I don't know about your thread, but I've noticed images uploaded in dowsing board threads appear on the front forum page while the same threads don't seem to show in recently updated comments (a feed bottom of page).
