Stumbled on a civil war camp site. Relics about 12 inches deep. Have not searched it all yet. Any idea what this may be? It is iron about 10 or 12 lbs. It has iron beads on the top.

are them lead balls check and see if one of them is soft or try to scratch one

I think it is mostly iron could be lead.

you should find some good relics over around fayetteville i'm over next to the old stone house in fayette county not to far from lee's tree been waiting on my uncle to get his hay cut over next to meadow bluff so i can hopefully find some good civil war relics
