identify a military pin crossed rifles UF above them.

Really need to see pics to try to figure it out. Generally, crossed rifles are an infantry button, but need to see exactly what it looks like.

Adding to Mackaydon's post about dating your insignia by the specific variety of its makers-mark;
In the photo, the clutch-pin attachment discs have "cleats" -- which means the insignia was manufactured sometime after WW2, up to the present year. Go to this webpage and scroll down almost to its end, to the part showing "Ballou clutches" (with time-dating info):
Dating Metallic Insignia: Collar Disks.

That is if the clutches are original to the piece. I know from personal experience that clutches wear out or get lost. Then they are replaced with whatever type is available at the time. I do however think the pin is post WWII. Are there any marks on the back?
