Its about 1/2" thick. It's iron - we were thinking wrought iron or iron, too.

I have pictures of both sides posted. It is definitely broken. There is a little "tab" broken off from the bottom of the center of the curve.

No holes in it. The back part tab is solid metal, too.

Maybe part of a wrought iron plant hanger. Looks like maybe that end with the bumps could act as a swivel point.
