I'd this cw bullet for me?

Hey guys, I am no bullet expert but I know this is civil war. Can you maybe tell me what type it is? Thank you guys

Actually I don't think it is civil war era. It looks more like the 45-70.

I don't think you are providing enough information. It hit something really hard, going to be very difficult to come up with an absolute ID IMHO. If anyone can, it would probably be CBG, and he will need more photos and measurements.

I agree, except comparing it with the fingers, to me it looks larger than .45. Need more info.

Maybe this may help? I found it at the calvary camp I have been hunting. There was quite a bit of camp lead in this spot where the "bullet?" Was. It has the three rings it just seems like it has bee carved on or something.

Your piece-of-a-bullet shows three raised bands on its body, AND it has a small projection with a groove at the right of the third band in the photo. There were five bullet types in existence between 1861 and 1873 which had three raised bands on the bullet's body:
Confederate "Raleigh-NC pattern" .54 .58 & .69 minie-bullet (also called Carcano or Garibaldi)
Sharps .52 rifle/carbine bullet
Sharps .52 rifle/carbine "tie-ring base" (also called "ringtail") bullet
.45-70 Springfield rifle bullet (1873)
.50-70 Springfield rifle bullet (1866)
But only the .52 Sharps Ringtail bullet had a grooved projection below the third raised band. See the photos below.

Also, you say you dug it in a civil war cavalry camp... and both the US and CS cavalry are known to have used .52 Sharps Ringtail bullets.

So, that's my "best guess" about what your piece-of-a-bullet is. I say "best guess" because your bullet-piece is too incomplete and badly mangled for me to have 100% certainty about its ID.

Thanks, I know it's pretty mangled but figured I would give it a shot. I have a few more things that I found today that I will post for id. I don't know if they are cw related or not. I love learning what the things are I find. I hope someday I will be able to pass off knowledge like you guys do for me.

Here are some of the junk items I found detecting today. I was wondering what the t shaped item and the clip would be? I have found several of the t shaped items over the years.

Any ideas on what the other two items may be? Not the bullets lol

The piece with the ears is off a Ford car ignition coil from a Model T.
