This looks to me like something similar to inspirational Chinese character stones. Google them to get an idea. No idea what they are made of but probably made in a mold out of something other than stone I'm guessing.

Hey thanks so much, but yea those are made of stone and this gave me a metal signal so not sure what mines is made of.
I was surprised to see images like my find. Again thanks!

that spelling is American "growth" in Japanese . It may be made of bronze? Google Translate
Cool find! Like to know the date of it. The style of writing for Growth looks somewhat modern maybe?

BBB is right on. Just for clarification, your pic #1 is upsidedown.

The left to right reading of the characters make it post - WWII at the very oldest. Probably newer than that...
