Hi All,
I got this brooch,
likely 1880-1910.
Cannot track down this partial makers mark.
I've tried to register at an antique jewelery forum,
never get my confirmation message...
Hope that someone here can ID this maker.
Any help is greatly appreciated! HH, Herbie.

Good to hear from you IronSpike!
That is the same design except for the stone, weight is close,
partial MM on that one also.
When first recovered, I thought the enamel was permanently stained,
peroxide soak worked great! Just the two chips, and scratching on back.
Would really like to know the maker, I've done a lot of searching to no avail.
Wish that antique jewelery forum would let me in....
thanks for the research! HH to you, Herbie

Wow! What a nice piece! The mark is for Larter & Sons - a fine jewelry maker.

These pieces typically sell for hundreds $$$.

Just FYI...

Other similar pieces claim to be from the 1940's. I saw two sold for $650 & $1550. One on Ruby Lane with a pearl inset asking $1650. One or two on ebay now.

Search 14K gold enamel pansy.

I know yours has some slight damage but it could still be worth some $$$.

Thanks Matt,
I've been watching the ebay similars, quite a few up there as 'Buy it nows' ranging between 1 and 3k, Found one completed listing for $1600, most weigh less than mine,
Ironspikes match is the only one I see that's close in weight.

I found one with a diamond on Ruby lane, only 5 grams, asking $1700,
these pansy brooches are described as 'Art Noveau' which is the period 1880-1910, where did you see one dating 1940s ??
this Maker originated in 1865, and started using this mark around 1900 I believe.
I appreciate your help with this!!! Thanks, Herbie.
