Hi guys, A new friend of mine and t-net member ( Cletus ) sent me a find to look at yesterday that he found. We both think it is from a saddle or horse tack but not sure. I couldn't ID and this morning while getting ready to go to work I was looking through some of my old finds and found the exact same thing. I don't remember for sure where I found it or when. We both hunt CW sites and would love to know what it. It is brass, I think and none magnetic. Thanks for any help.

PS. Don't throw anything away until you know.

Isn't it a concho. I am used to seeing them with square hole in the middle. Perhaps the little bar that should have split the square hole has broken off.

After looking at it further, it is a bit small for a concho, however, I am NOT changing my answer!

Look close in the square hole and see if you can see where the little bar broke off, that would seal the deal!

Looks like part of a drawer pull to me.

Could be. It seems to have been fastened with some type of carriage fastener. Thanks

Joe the one that i dug looks exactly like the one you posted.
i'm with Carolina Tom. At a 11/4" i think it would be to small for a drawer pull.
Thanks for the post
