I really enjoy reading and viewing all the threads in this forum. I have found only a few points while metal detecting and need some help on identification :read2:

These were all found in Triad NC. I think first one is the point of a knife :dontknow: Any input as to ID and approximated age? Much appreciated IronSpike :icon_thumright:

The bottom right is a Halifax. Bottom left could be a kirk or Savanah river drill. Top two are blades/knives..

Nice finds..

Molly.

Thanks Molly :icon_thumright:

I'll have to :read2: halifax and drills :sign13:

All from about same era?

Thanks TnMtns :icon_thumright: Fun and very facinating at the same time :hello2: It's an area that I ought to explore rather than just hoping for a random fluke find once in awhile :sign13:

please excuse my ignorance but I haven't rock hunted in over 25 yr's and never used a metal detector; but can you detect flint with a metal detector or did you find these while digging for something else.

You're right daddyrog the metal detector doesn't pick up the flint (only metal), however sometimes you either eye spot a surface find or find it in the hole you're digging for the metal target. Just the bonus finds while being out in the right places :icon_thumright:
