Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Is this object being viewed from space or through a microscope?
Don.....

Hi Don. It is being viewed through a shitty phone camera. There is an abandoned sandstone mine close by.Lots of sandstone with metal bolts stuck in.I am just not sure what to make of this. This is fragile and easy to split. I have no idea how metal ended up in it.Poor choice for a building slab and I just can't work out how it was made or why. Was hoping someone might know. Cheers

Hard to tell theres nothing to compare for size ect

Cheers A2. For scale there is a normal lighter and a jewellers loupe. Thanks for your interest.Photo1767.jpg

I left it half in and half out.Wrong shape for a screw or a bolt and have no idea how they would get such a shape into the actual sandstone. But I am easily confused.
Seen a couple of things I still can't explain 25 years later. But this should be easy to solve.Small hole, big piece of metal. How did they do that? How did they get it in in the first place? Never heard of an oval drill and just can't get my head around the "how?" Hoping someone can shed some light on it. Hmmmmm.
