I'd asked the age of a token recently. attn sonofadigger

But, it's really become academic. Whatever the age, it was old "enough". :)

I went back to the place I found it today and after a 4 hour hunt, I didn't have very much to show. You know, clad but spent a lot of time digging iffy signals today. Meaning? Lot's of wasted hunt time cleaning up junk.

Here are the "good" finds:

The one that frustrated the most was the large "puncture" tab? :dontknow:

This blasted thing sounded soooooooo good!!! :BangHead:
It was also about 7 inches deep! :(

Ah well, at least I got a vintage "pulltab". ;)

At least there was one ray of sunshine in my day. The one that turns the day into "ok", from not.

I got a good, solid dime hit, but fairly deep. Once I got down to it, this is what I saw.

It was a full 8 inches down!

You were right sonofadigger! The new crop is coming in nicely. LOL

Nothing like the glint of silver after turning over the dirt.

The way the day had been going up until then, I pretty much quit on this coin. At least I left with a smile. :)

Here's the star of the show after a bit of clean up.
Looks pretty good to me for 48. ;)
