Iceberg Contest Winners- Oberkill,BDoo & KirkPA
Update 7/2/07
Congratulations to those who knew to think big. 329 Was the total. See Dan's post below for full details.
In the recent spirit of contests I decided the gang should do an Iceberg contest. Dan, Spencer, Nate and I are going to hit the berg tomorrow. We will hunt from about 8:30 to about 4pm. Sorry about the short notice but all four of us might not get back there for a while after this. So....
Guess the total number of wheat pennies all four of us combined will find by the end of the day(one number). Also guess the total number of memorial pennies all four of us combined will find(one number).
Winner is the person who guess the exact or closest to the total number of wheat pennies found.
Tiebreaker is the total number of memorial pennies all four of us combined will find.
A third tiebreaker is who posts first.
Prize is at least half of the wheat pennies uncleaned and unsearched. Dan and I will definately give up our wheats. I have not discussed it with Nate yet so wether there will be one or two prizes and what they will be is still TBD. Even though we will know the totals Saturday, We will let the guessing go until Monday morning say 9am.
I cannot predict how much each person will concentrate on wheat pennies or go more for silver but we should be able to come home with a respectable number....Keep in mind also that Spencer is not a die hard detectorist like Dan, Nate and I.
Prize suggestions are welcome but keep it reasonable.
