I would sure like to know more about these items found in Texas.

These items were found at an area that had settlers from 1840's on. The first picture is a brass buckle. What do you think it was used for and maybe age? PICT0020-1.webp

The next item says AMP on top and OIL on bottom. Any ideas please. Thanks

The top looks like a suspender buckle
The bottom is a face plate of a amp and oil guage for a 30's auto.

Burdie,what is the deminsions of the face plate?From the pic,it looks too large for any auto.Maybe a generator or tractor maybe large truck.

I'll be danged I thought it said Lamp oil and couldent figure out the holes in it.

That was my fault TC I thought that was what it said to. Thank you all. WSD it is not quite the size of a dollar bill.
The buckle is about the size of a quarter. It seems a little heavier than what you would use on clothes. It is made out of brass also.
All of you are just so fantastic with information. My hat is off to you guys. Thank you again.
