Good thing it was cheap! Spent a good hour digging and searching for these pieces. Everything is from the same garage sale this morning that said "lots of costume jewelry" as one of the things mentioned in the list for sale. Well there were bags and boxes and baskets and containers full of costume jewelry let me tell you. I should have taken a photo. Most of it was junk and unfortunately the daughter had picked through it all pretty thoroughly, as there wasn't a single piece of gold or silver in the lot (almost). The woman's mother who had recently passed was a garage sale jewelry fanatic and bought stuff for years she said. All in all I did manage a few decent finds.
They are nothing special but they do add up and the whole lot was only $20.
The necklaces were all in 1 baggie, I bought it for the one pink Tulip Trifari necklace.
The 7 pairs of earrings were all in one baggie also. I bought it for the one pair of JJ Jonette Jewelry Oriental face earrings pictured in the center. Also pictured is a pin with what appears to be an Englishman riding a camel, a signed Swarovski flower brooch, a Victorian watch chain clip I guess.? An early 1900's Budd's Baby Shoes pinback button that sells for @ $20. An International Pewter Little Devil Girl pendant, a Niello Siam pendant, 2 employee pieces, one pin 40 years and 1 bracelet 45 years both marked 1/20th 12k. Don't know if there is any gold in the centers of these two or if the diamond is real yet. Don't know what company it is yet for that matter. The turquoise blue pendant is 1920's-30's Czech glass Egyptian revival. The other small pendant with the blue stone looks like gold but probably isn't due to the stone setting and the chain ring, but I have to test it.
The moose stickpin is a PTAP Progressive Party Bull Moose pin from the 1912 Roosevelt election era. Also in that photo is a Civil War Rebel soldier made of lead, it spoke to me. Moose should be good for $15-$20.
The 3 mini lighters have Grateful Dead logos on them and the last 2 sold for 9.99 each plus shipping on ebay.
At the same sale the lady brought out a box of misc. plated silverware. I dismissed it at first then looked a little closer and saw that it was all hotel and restaurantware. The majority of it is 50 pieces of mid century Inter-continental Hotels flatware. I've only found a couple sold listings on Wortpoint. 1 for a mixed 15 piece set sold for $35 in Dec. and a single fork that sold for $24.95. Also in the box was a small bag of miscellaneous pieces from Muscle Shoals Hotel, Sheraton, Taft Hotel, City of NY, Shermans Cafeteria, etc..
However the best piece in that misc. bag is a Chinese export silver spoon.
Also pictured is a rosary with wooden beads and an unidentified signed paperweight. Best I can do on the signature.
