Well, been waiting to post something that is a little less common. I've really been nailing the silver, which I love. Anyway, decided to head back to an area that I got permission to hunt. Very unassuming green area. I first pulled some wheats and a 1953 silver quarter out of there a few weeks ago. So, I gridded an area off and started being meticulous.
I pulled out a 1944 and 1952 wheatie. Started getting kind of bored. was moving down the middle of the gridded area when I got a really odd, deeper signal. It rang up 72 on the AT Pro. I typically find junk copper in that range. So, with a little reluctance, I decided to dig it. Dug the plug, but it was still in the hole. Rescanned and it rung up higher. I was thinking, "Maybe a silver dime, cool." Moved some dirt at the bottom and saw large silver on its edge. I about freaked out. Reached down and pulled this out of the hole (also pictured, some clad, the wheats, and an old UMC shotgun shell):
