I got to go out hunting today, i had alot of fun. I went to never never land. I found 18 pennies, three dimes and a quarter. I would have stayed longer but I got sick of digging pennies. Dont get me wrong, i like finding pennies, and I intend to get all of them that I can, but i just was'nt in the penny mood today, and there is a TON of them in this little park. Im going to have a busy summer. Talk to you all later on. Brad

Brad,

glad you were able to get out.

Know what you mean about it getting tired of digging only pennies.

It gets old, but you never can be sure that the next beep, is not a
wheat, or Indian, or a silver coin. OR MORE

have a good un..............

Where's your pull tabs and gold? Maybe you should reevaluate your dicscrim. settings?
All I see is pennies dimes and a quarter, if you arent finding nickles, pull tabs and foil you wont find the gold. Dont get me wrong great finds but, if you show everything you dig [even trash] it will help some of us help you. I would love to hunt right behind you, as I do with a friend of mine, and I consistantly find good stuff, because he gets lazy and only looks for GOOD signals. Which I have been guilty of myself, untill someone showed me up big time.
Dano.

Sometimes those pennies can be a nuisence but by pulling up the carpet, it's easier to get to the padding if you get my drift. Like dano said, check your disc as well. Try to force yourself to dig anything that sets off a signal at a disc of #4. Listen to the edge of the signal as well as the middle (for instance--a little scratchy just before the louder tone or just a very faint solid tone). Try it at different sweep speeds, then try and guess trash or goodie. Then dig for the truth, 8). HH and keep 'em comin'.

ya, I get sick of the zinc pennies too, but better than nothing! Sometimes I will skip over the shallow ones, and only dig the deep ones.

Congrats on getting out...
Digging the same old targets over and over again does get a little old, but ya never know about the next one.
Better luck with the goodies next time, & Happy hunting~

I hit a spot with a lot of pennies last week. I got tired of digging them so I set up my detector not to pick up anything less than 4". I dug 4 other targets at 5 to 8 inches. You guessed it, pennies! After I had a whole handful, didn't even bother to count them, I found out this is where the paperboy picks up his papers. Guess he ditches his pennies? Monty

nice finds, good getting out when the weather breaks,
