well, i found out what you are talking about. i went out today and found one of my own. i hopped, skipped, and jumped around to find a quarter, nickel, and a couple of pennies. i'm just glad i didn't have to slide around to find them. this was one of the "hunted out" parks i was told about. i didn't find any silver but i found enough to go back and practice some more.

Sh*t happens sometimes.

Every MD'er knows that all the good coinage is ALWAYS under the goose poop

I once flipped some dog poop out of the way to dig a quarter....

A field in a park here in my town was clad central for a few years. Non stop soccer action, high density traffic, but good easy pliable dirt and it floods with good rains. Mayo and I went there last week and we did a check to see what would pop, a low section that looked muddy until we got into it, goose pie matted across the grass and generously so.

In the past I found it better to walk on my knees through the area digging as I went. Pocket spills of the multi-quarter type littered the place like goose poop, just under the grass. Little trash and less bling, but easy clad pickens to be sure.

Should be drier this week.
