Now this person is not known to bs,Make up storie's,Etc. But i have my doubt's! Although it doe's look like a cap gun it just doesn't feel like one...It was said roll cap's were feed into the cilinder that is covered near tip(and OPEN in pics)and the gun would shoot, repetedly!
To me it seem's more to be some sort of work tool such as a rivet gun of sort's.Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
APPROX.7 in.long....The peice i have the pin in(see pic)pop's out when trigger is squeezed,TRIGGER is the chrome peice jutting from pistol grip!...THANK YOU and HAPPY HUNTING!!!

I remember having something like that as a kid, but the one I'm thinking of wasn't a cap gun. The one I'm thinking of you just keep pulling the trigger fast, and sparks come out the barrel.

It is a cap gun .. the roll of caps fit into the circular compartment with the little swinging cover, and were fed thru chrome frame/track. 1960's era.

It is similar to this one, but not quite as old I don't think.

Agree with SodaBottleBob. Definitely a paper popper/buster gun. I can find only one other image the same as your gun, at "Marx Toy Museum Online", but even they don't know who made it.

It's not a cap gun! It's a "Paper Breaker" pop gun. There's a similar one on eBay called a "Nu-Matic" which has a patent number from 1936-1937.

eBay

Although this thread is solved it IS still concidered a "cap gun" in the cap gun collector world,Many cap guns had roll caps which could be called "paper-poppers"...But this paticular gun( op ) is different then the above link to epay. There are many versions of this gun...A TRUE paper pop gun is manually operated,NO CAPS,ROLLS,Etc. Just a simple movement of the hand such as the one in attached pic(s)...HAPPY HUNTING ALL!!!
