I doubt anyone noticed my absence but I didn't just stop posting about a month ago because I got bored.
I was sick. Sick enough that today was my first time hunting in a quite a while! So, when that first signal
came up as a stinkin' Lincoln, I was celebrating!! I made it out again! I'm still not all the way back but enough for a 5 1/2 hour constitutional walk today! LOL
Boy! I am TIRED! But, it's a very NICE tired!
Here's the overall:
Don't know about this one, a zipper pull?
True to norm, I was finished hunting for the day. 5.5 hours is a very long time! LOL
I got this hit that was a cross between a pulltab and a zincoln. I shrugged my shoulders, then I said,
"OK. I'll dig this penny up and then turn off the machine and walk back to the car."
It turned out to be an aluminum screw cap and I said, "Figures."
I patched my hole and stood up, moved my detector to the right while looking for the off button.
It beeped! I actually said, "OH ....SHORTY!!!!" LOL
Of course, it read a strong 84.
I knelt down, stabbed the ground, flipped the plug over and this is what I saw:
Something just VERY fitting about this one, eh? LOL
Here it is cleaned up.
It came out of the ground shiny. But, it's not marked. Initial testing shows silver.
It seems to be fairly well made. But, would they put an emerald in a closed setting like this one?
In any case, all's well that ends well. Besides, Blingie is happy!
Happy to be back.
Thanks for peeking!
