I have been doing some research on a place that was constructed solely for the workers that were building a nearby Dam. The city was constructed around 1911 and was active until around 1915. When the construction of the dam had been pretty much completed.
I didn't think there would be too much there to find considering the short life span of the city but because it was close I figured I would stop and spend a few hours there.
Well, lets just say I'm glad I did.
Had a great time.
The first pic I believe is part of a button.
The 3rd and 4th pics are buttons also. Not sure of how old they are but I thought they were pretty cool.
The last pic is of what I believe a compass part (top right) and the other I'm not sure. It appears to be maybe copper or possibly pewter. It's pretty ornate.
Any way,
that's my most recent story.
Thanks for looking and HH.

Very cool finds.

Isn't it great how some research can pay off

Awesome coins my man. Congrats.

both of the overall buttons are 1930's

Love the coins. Glad the research paid off for you.

Lots of areas around fort Churchill to hunt. Good luck

Your C &B Weiser Underhill button is really great. From your finds it would seem a place you would want to spend more time investigating.

The nickel and dime looked to be in very good condition. I wonder if the V nickel will clean up well?

Great finds, it would be worth going back, thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks jewelguy....I looked at a few online and at one point I thought I found something that told me the Unionhills button was around 1913 other than that blip, I found nothing about the dates of either of them although I did come across some pretty cool places that sell old antique buttons.....like I need a new hobby right lol. Thank you for the information, I appreciate it!
