Saturday, at a garage sale, I asked about old coins. The lady said one hour ago she sold a box of silver coins. Wondering what I missed I asked about them. She said she didn't know about coins so she just counted them and added $10. I was afraid to ask but did, what was face value? $15

So for $25 my competition got $150 worth of silver.

For me the hardest thing about garage saleing is picking the right sale to start off at. I always seem to end up at the wrong one first and end up being at the right one about an hour too late, like Dan stated...

For me the hardest thing about garage saleing is picking the right sale to start off at.

The friday afternoon before, I go through my garage sale sources and pick out all interesting sales in a 10 mile radius. I usually find 20-30 then I locate all addresses on a huge map I made and then plan my route to be a big circle saving the most gas and not backtracking too much. I try to route about 15-20 sales and usually do about 40 miles every saturday. I also stop at many that I just see a sign (if I can read the @#$@!%$%^ sign in time)
