Saturday, at a garage sale, I asked about old coins. The lady said one hour ago she sold a box of silver coins. Wondering what I missed I asked about them. She said she didn't know about coins so she just counted them and added $10. I was afraid to ask but did, what was face value? $15

So for $25 my competition got $150 worth of silver.
 for him
:'( for me

Bummer. You sound like me sometimes...a day late and a dollar short.

For me the hardest thing about garage saleing is picking the right sale to start off at. I always seem to end up at the wrong one first and end up being at the right one about an hour too late, like Dan stated... >:(

The friday afternoon before, I go through my garage sale sources and pick out all interesting sales in a 10 mile radius. I usually find 20-30 then I locate all addresses on a huge map I made and then plan my route to be a big circle saving the most gas and not backtracking too much. I try to route about 15-20 sales and usually do about 40 miles every saturday. I also stop at many that I just see a sign (if I can read the @#$@!%$%^ sign in time)
