why should we lie sideways to see your pics?
If you really want our assistance, spend a moment or two and rearrange the aspect, please

Not going to lie, I died a little inside after seeing these pictures.

In any case, I'm totally biased. With something like this -- a situation where you're choosing between owning Native American stone artifacts and African/Indonesian/Tahitian/Etc "tribal" art -- it's completely about the collector's preferences. There are 1000 reasons why I personally would not have made this trade, not the least of which is that I could never display art like that at my house (have to put it away when kids visit, further explain the nature of my hobbies to suspicious relatives when they come over, tell my friends how "it's just art, nothing more, I promise", etc). The fact that you like the statues and appreciate both their artistic qualities and the cultural context they bring to the dialogue is all that matters. I say bravo on you, OP, chase your dreams. There's little to be gained from questioning the value of the exchange. As is so often proclaimed on T-Net, the value of any given piece -- whether we're talking glass bottles, silver coins, or fertility statues -- is the amount that someone is willing to pay for it; no more, and no less.

May they bring you boundless happiness.
