I thought it was just another piece of iron but i was wrong!

while metal detecting in the woods i found a very shallow signal reading as iron.... i went ahead and dug it it look like iron it was very rusted and was about to throw it away when.....My friend told me to keep it,so i did i took it home and cleaned it up and something very unexpected happened.I saw a handle of that looked like it came off a balisong/butterfly knife, then i noticed the lock on the bottom which is to prevent it from opening one side of the handle was gone unfortunately. But i could tell it wasn't a single piece of metal all in all i'm almost sure its a balisong, i'll let you know when i'm sure.
