You can Block them from P.M.'ing you.

OK some have concerns of a party making boards and the accused not being able to respond. Well lets just have it the user can SEE the board and report it if its offensive but not be able to respond to the board? Better ?

ALSO another good option i think is a "Remove Comment" button each user should have in their threads they make...this would help too.

I like the idea.

Although I do not think I would use it.

It might be handy for others that do not want to deal with obnoxious users.

That way one jerk would not run away several members.

If it helps others here, I am all for it.

how about a Block "Block User" Button ?

Block head user button :-X ;D

on a serious note
then you can play with post counts blah blah and a "free"forum
say they are a charter member perhaps
charter members need not apply to be blocked ever(ingnored sure)
just a passing thought

*L* yeah that's a good idea!
maybe even better is an IP address of poster run through an algorithm
and placed at bottom of post. That way we would know who these multiple handle posters are that like to play games in here, and when they are playing their 'good cop/bad cop' routine or their 'look at all the people who agree with me' posts. Oh they're clever but not quite as clever as they may think. ;D

When you start blocking people on a open forum...you no longer have a open forum

Agreed... and truthfully... one idiot posting stupid crap stands out and usually someone else speaks up...

We got your back Reddie!

As a member, I would strongly favor the addition of such a feature.

(Obviously, as a moderator I would never use it.)

The "Ignore User" feature is a plus, but when it's used threads can be difficult to follow, since you don't know exactly what the ignored user is saying— and on the other hand, if other members quote his posts, then you're forced to view those comments anyway.

You can, of course, block people from sending you PM's. Just click on "Personal Message Options" on your Profile page and put them on your "Ignorelist."
