I think this counts as a "Today's Find" ;-) Georgia Button More Pictures!!!!

Here is a birthday present I received... just got it today.. it came from my Father's collection of dug relics...

I should say... he passed away just over a year ago... his collection is still all together... don't want to see it broken up.. so I got to pick an item for my birthday... ;-) It's a little strange.. he had been my digging buddy for a long time.. had back,knee and heart problems.. so.. going through some of his stuff.. brought back a lot of memories... the US buckle I dug for him because his knees were hurting so bad.. that was fun!!! "Yes Dad.. it's another &*^^ buckle!!!" ;-) I think on that one dig he found the US buckle and 2 Virginia one piece buttons... I dug a bunch of bullets and a eagle button!!! errr.. but great memories now...

Backmark is Horstmann and Allien NY with the inner circle of rays..

Thanks! Well.. it is CW period.. and I know roughly where it was dug.. I have pounded the same spot many.. many times and no other were found. There is an old road that runs through the area that was heavly used by both sides...

That is one of my favorite buttons.I have one in my collection but like always I had to buy it.
