I think it may just be junk

I think it's junk, but it rings as a $1 coin on my metal detector. I thought I would post it here just in case. I found this at an old park, mostly abandoned. It was about 6 inches down.

The only thing I can guess is if it is rare metal it may be a tooth filling.

I think you just might be right, on all counts. It's a head scratch-er, but someone on here will have an idea, and perhaps a test to tell what kind of metal.
