So if you went to a thrift store and saw the laying in the case would you buy it for $3.99? Amongst hundreds of other pieces of jewelry to me this one stuck out like a sore thumb! Do you see what I saw? This is exactly how it was sitting.

I'm not sure exactly what drew you to it, but I know I always check these as many are at least gold filled and appear to be collectable. You aren't by chance referring to the clear stone on the $ pin, are you?

I rarely find gold at the TS and on top of that I just exercised extreme self control in not paying spot for a dainty gold chain that had some wear to it. I tried convincing myself that I could scrap the chain and sell the clasp and come out ahead, but it didn't seem worth the effort. Plus that money could be better invested elsewhere.

I guess I am dense, so educate me, what it is?! Looks like old hat pins?

The money sign is 14k gold. The diamond is also real! 2.7 grams

I imagine I'd at least look for marks.. :icon_scratch:
Nice score !!
Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Here's what I thought of them. I thought the heart looked tarnished blue like it could be silver or plated. The seahorse looked the oldest so maybe the most collectible. And to me the middle pin itself looks vintage but the $ does not, that looks modern & like it was added onto the pin at some point and time. 14k is awesome from the TS!

If I see it correctly, I believe there is a mark on the top of the dollar sign. Maked 14kt?

I'll double check. But there is deffently one on the back of it. With some letters.
