I saw the wierdest thing

earlier when I was detecting around the side of the old folks home I looked over the fence into the flower garden and saw something I have never seen around here before, it was flying and going around to the different flowers, at first I thought it was a bumble bee but it was to big and it was'nt yellow and black striped like a bee, if you make the O.K. sign its body was about as big as the O your thumb and pointer finger make, then I thought maybe it was a humming bird but the wings did'nt look right, they were shaped more like a dragonfly's wings than a birds and it did'nt have a long beak, it was wierd.

Theyre called "hummingbird Moths".
I see them in later summer around the flowering milkweeds.
I have some photos Ive taken somewhere.
Another cool attribute is thier "lobster like" tail.....Joe

I live in Kansas and we get a lot of hummingbirds and the moth version, they are about the same size and color, but the bird will actually stop and you can see its head the moth keeps flying around and doesn't stop
