My local cable company has Turner Classic movies for free so I decided to watch one I had never seen before. I was in high school when it came out. If I had only seen this one scene 40 years ago maybe I would have got the hint and started buying gold then. NAAAAA
The movie was The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
Good (Eastwood) & Ugly (Wallach) had been captured by the Union Army during the civil war. In the POW camp Bad (Van Cleef) had been stealing from the Confederate soldiers. In one scene a cowboy comes into a room with Bad sitting at a table with a pile of gold in front of him the cowboy pulls out a wad of cash and Bad sells him the gold.
