I bought a 1901 "o" morgan dollar today for 20 dollars. Its grade is about VG 8, so I know I got ripped off, but I haven't bought a coin in a while and it was shiny

Res....I view that like buying property. We paid a little more for an extra lot on the side of us once just so we didn't have someone else on top of us....it was worth it to us because we wanted it.

If it was worth $20 to you...that is all that counts. Congrats...that is an old coin.

I paid $50.00 for a roll of Mercs, but I always wanted one, so I'm happy.

someday the melt value for that morgan will be more than $20. i bogught a 1896O morgan for $18. i just like morgans!
