You could try soaking it in MSR Bronze and Copper cleaner.

That looks like a bad case of "bronze disease". If it were mine, I would try to remove some of it mechanically (toothpick or Andre's pencil) on the side with the patch of it. It looks to me like there is some lettering that will become visible. After that, I would try what is suggested above or a mild acid like lemon juice soak for awhile. That might make something visible on the side completely covered with the corrosion.

If you've not yet done so, first I recommend soaking overnight in distilled water then use a soft toothbrush to take off what you can. Then carefully try mechanical removal as Almy suggested. I can kind of make out a nose & chin on the 3rd pic - but to harsh of cleaning could remove what details remain. Then you'll have to base the ID on diameter, thickness, and weight. Good luck!

I haven't done any cleaning yet wanted to get suggestions first. ill try it and post some pics later after cleaning.
