Hello,
I have seen this ebay auction and I wonder if by the 1870's some guns had
those hard rubber grips already?

Untill now I always thought that those hard rubber grips were used in the 1920' -30's but not before that !
Is this Ebay auction for a autentic 1870's item?

These are not "original" equipment from 1870. These are modern equipment, original grips, from a modern run of the Colt Model 1870. These guns have not been made in several years except by special order.

These are not antique grips.

It says its from an 1873 Colt - not a Colt made in 1873.

And, I think they are still being made.
