Not long ago I found an object in a park in an Atlanta.
Its a large item and quite valuable. (Id rather not post it up at this time for obvious reasons)
It has an engraving on it with two names.
Elise is one and the other is Winston.
It says Elise to Winston. Maybe it was a gift? Anyway, Id like to find these people and return it. I guess its Winston's. :tongue3:

So I have two first names and no last names and the city of Atlanta.

Ive been trying for hours to find a way to find these people and hoped you guys could help.

Thanks :icon_thumleft:

Re: I need your help finding people.

Was it a shallow find? If so, you might put it on Craigs List lost and found with the names only. If they can describe it and where it was lost then you have your folks. Good luck!

Re: I need your help finding people.

You might also list what you can in the 'Lost and Found' area of the local paper; similar to Craig's listing.
"Identify and claim". Another suggestion is to notify that park's administrative office of your find so they'll have a way to contact you if they get an inquiry.
Don.....

Re: I need your help finding people.

Thanks for the comments.

Well the thing I have going for me is that the names are not heard so much. Elise and Winston are not common names and if they are married or related then they could maybe be found, I'm hoping.

It wasnt a shallow find. I suspect its been there for a number of years.

I was hoping someone knew of a good way to search for people or a couple by first name only, within a certain city. ???

I'm not sure what kind of phone books you have there but around here they're done by last name and have no less than millions of names. :laughing9: :laughing9:
I dont have time to go thru every name in the book.

Re: I need your help finding people.

not first and last name ? like smith , winston --as you say the names are older type odd first names (which would greatly cut down the pool of possibles) -- with as little as you got to go on , its going to be fairly hard -- with only "elsie to winston "* the item could be craigs listed * like so -- item marked "elsie to winston" found at so and so park --owner must indentfy item and either be elsie or winston or be able to prove relastionship to them to claim item - wish to return to proper owner.

Re: I need your help finding people.

Thanks for the help.
Ill give it a shot with the Pbooks for sure.

Re: I need your help finding people.

Maybe if there is a marriage record database you could search it using the first two names.
Good luck!

Re: I need your help finding people.

This is a long shot but try Winston A. White and his wife Elise L. White that live in Athens GA. They have lived in Atlanta, GA in the past. I will send their address and phone via PM. They are both in their early 40s so if the piece seems to be antique it may not be them. Let us know if it turns out to be them.

I used People Finder to find the Elise/Winston connection, last name and places lived then went to Anywho for the address and phone information. It does help that the names were rather unique and it was lost in a park rather then a beach where people vacation so may not be from the area.

I just hope it turns out to be them.

Thanks for your work on this!
Im trying to contact them now and will let everyone know if its them.

Ok it worked out.
I found them, contacted the number and Elise answered.
Unfortunately, Elise informed me that they just got divorced!!
She also asked me to send her the ring but Im think it is Winston's ring because HE lost it and was wearing. She said he lost it 11 years ago.

I have no idea what to do. Should I keep trying to get in touch with Winston, send it to Elise, or keep it cause they are split?
So confused and need your suggestions.

Thanks for joining in on my daytime drama. :-[

It's not her ring, I definitely would not give it to her. If they are divorced now, he probably won't want it, if you can't locate him, I would keep it.

yeah it sounds like she wants it just for the value of it... why would anyone what their EX's ring except for the money.

just my 2 cents worth.

Yep...thats what Im thinking right now. She isnt getting it no matter what.
She'll be selling it instantly I bet.
Although when I told her I found it she got quiet and was obviously getting choked up/crying a little. :-[
