I recently found two identical iron objects that were heavily rusted. They appear to be knobs of some sort, but I have no idea what they are for. I used electrolysis to clean up one of the items, and there is a foundry mark of the letter P in a circle on the top (or bottom, I'm not sure which end is up!) They were about three yards apart from one another in a field. I did find a circular iron machine part between them, so I'm not sure if it is part of what they came from or not. (For that matter, I'm not sure what the circular thing is either.) I've posted pictures below of all of the objects. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I don't see a roller bearing here but I would buy a Collar for an axel shaft bearing?

Thanks to everyone for the help on this one. They most definitely were universal joint bearing caps! I know I'm new to detecting, and even newer to this site, but I can't express how grateful I am at how wonderful and helpful everyone has been!
