Hey everyone -
You may remember my earlier post on a shot glass I got from my GG aunts estate in the mid 60's "Grimmet's sure cure" that I felt was pre-prohibition.
The problem I have is 2 glass/bottle sites say it's good - 2 shot glass sites say it is a 70's fantasy piece due to the shape of the base.
If I had just got it from a flea market - well, more doubt would be in my mind - but family history, and how it came to me makes me feel it's authentic
I posted the glass on eBay, with the disclosure of the yea and nay - let the buyer decide -
Search Grimmet's sure cure for history and photos on eBay
Here is the base in question -
I don't want to make a silk purse out of a sows ear - but there was so many glass makers - it looks like a heavy shot style to me from Cascade glass - but line drawings aren't much help.
Any thoughts or advice is truly welcome - I don't want to be seen as a scammer, but will own to a honest mistake.
