I have a site where I need to find the base of a triangle shaped stone structure . The section above ground was removed in the late 1800s but there is supposedly a stone floor buried somewhere underground ..the area is wooded and at one time a big of a bog ... I am wondering A. what the best method to locate said floor might be..and B. where is my best starting point online for learning methods to properly conduct a geophysical survey . It is just as important to gather data on this location as it it to " find anything of value" .. I am aware in most cases hiring an operator would be the best idea . This is not one of those cases. I plan to rent the gear I need and have 4 months to prepare ... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .
