wow you got a big time deal if it was in a junk pile 4 sale -- I see a indain head cent --a 2 cent and other goodies - the $$ value of course depends on the mainly on 3 items ---#1 you have to have someone who wants to buy the coin #2 the type of coin & date and place of minting ---were alot of them made or just a few? --the fewer there are the more valuible normally -- and of course its condition --the better it is the more its worth -- Ivan

You have some really good Civil War Tokens. Worth $$$.

I'm no good with US stuff but someone will ID them.

I have seen a couple of dug examples of your tokens & they were worth money & yours are in way better condition.

What you have is not a "set" of coins. But rather one 1864 "large motto" two cent peice in "good" condition. One 1863 indian head cent in at least "f-12" condition, maybe a little higher. The other 3 are "Patriotic" Civil War tokens worth $10-20 each. All coins and tokens are from the Civil War era so I guess in that sense you could call it a "Civil War coin/token set". As a lot it's probably worth about $50.00 or so.

The prices I quoted were from recent sales on e-bay. book prices are just a reference but when it come to selling they are worth what someone is will to bid.

I agree, you would get more money from a private collector.

from my 2005 red book -- the 1863 one cent in F 12 is $14 bucks -- the Two cent 1864 in G4 is $15 bucks -- the tokens using E Bay--- lowball price $25 from millions for defence -- $25 for flag of our union -- $10 for army navy -- so even at low end -- at least $90 bucks -- not bad for a "junk" box find --- and the tokens could easily go for $50 / $50 and $25 to the rights folks --- so $90 low end to $154 high end --- nice--- Ivan

I'm glad to hear that the tokens are selling for a little more on ebay now. I sold some last year that were similar and in vg-xf+ cond, they went for $10-12 each. I might have to look and see what I got left,I kept the better ones.
