I need a healthy hobby and have decided that Metal Detecting will fill that need. I cut gem stones for thirty years and did well. But my eyes are causing problems and find that I must change my ways.
I have a post at URL: http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,34981.0.html (Pictures)
Those opals are top quality stones. My problem is that I cannot cut and sell them myself. Someone will really score a big deal here if they want them or know someone who might.
I was asking $1500 for the lot, even though they are worth a lot more than that. But you would have to know gem stones to really appreciate their value. With that said, their value does not matter to me at this point.
I will give all the stones to anyone who has a Tesoro Cibola for trade, new or used, or something equal to that unit. All I really want is a detector that works well on old coins and at the waters edge in sand.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
