✅ SOLVED I need help with an ID, I found this what looks like maybe a piece of a toy car or maybe the motor to one? It looks like the back end + kinda heavy.

I disagree with the toy car angle. Those knobs appear to be knurled. That is usually an indication of adjustment or tightening. I’d guess from an instrument of some sort: possibly a type of optics. Can you post a clear picture of the end? It may have graduation marks or numbers. Thanks

I FIGURED IT OUT!! It’s the sight of a m1 garand! How old I’m not sure.
EDIT: 1940s
That rear sight is the newer design T105 version of the sight for the M1 from 1950 onwards, it is also the same sight used on the US M-14 battle rifle (1957 to 1964), it is also the same sight used on the civilian version of the M-14...the M1A (1971 to present).

That T-105 sight can be swapped between any of the above mentioned rifles, as they are exactly the same from 1950 onward up to the present day, there maybe some quality differences depending on who made the sight but they are still interchangeable.

That all being said the one you've found does appear to have some age on it but it's hard to say exactly how old it is, unless you can find some numbers on it to research when it was made.
