Very cool. I'd say the ones that say "copy" are fake, although even the copies look wicked old.

I kno that thr 1000 bill has already been recovered??!! But been reading about if it could be a real counterfit from back then could still be value??

The 10$ bills are the same but one says copy and the other doesnt??

Oh, I also remembered hearing that there was a Bank Of the United States that issued bills but they weren't treasury issued. I think that started before the turn of the 1800's. I don't think the US issued bills until the (mid?) 1850's

Counterfeit Currency has been around as long as genuine currency. I know little about detecting counterfeits, but if they appear genuine, with high potential value, the two notes not marked "copy" should be submitted for authentication and, if necessary, grading.

Im intrigued by the $10!!! I have both the copy AND the original maybe?

They make these for souvenir shops... The way to tell a real note is that it has brown ink signatures the ink fades over time to a light brown color so the signatures and the handwritten numbers would be light brown in color if they're real. If they're not real the citizens are dark black and so are all the numbers hope that helps.

Citizens... should be signatures... Posting this with my smartphone sorry.

If you have the original 10 dollar it is the one that was used to make the copies as the pen strokes and numbers are identical. It is very hard if not impossible to validate the note from a picture. You need to take this to someone.
My guess is they are both copys and one has had the copy removed but hey it could be real and you chanced on the guy that made the copies. GL to you

Cheers

FYI Notes with holes and tears are deemed to be the worst possible condition. You have both.

Cheers

Just dont really know who to take them to.. Not really getting my hopes up cuz the chance if even one of theze bulls being real is slim to none.... But hey u never kno

F the condition lol if real thats a part of HISTORY that alone makes them a collectors dream!!!! If i didnt know the $1000 bill was already confirmed i would place that as one of MY Holy Grails haha
