the writing is old cryillic alphabet based -- think serb /greek / russian orthodox catholic religous metal --its a start --good luck Ivan

Nativity on one side. See Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus and a donkey. Other side...yeah, I'd go with a baptism.

Try your local churches. See if they recognize it.

if you look on my earlier post I said cryillic alphabet -- (which is the basis of the old greek,russian and serb languages )-- ie that is was a catholic medal of either serb, greek , or russian manufacture --- so its orthodox greek catholic medal with GENESIS on one side -- ans BAPTISMA on the other ---- now the hard part trying to time frame / date it ---.
