What's up guys... I'm hoping some of you can help me out... Last night I started cleaning some clad coins I have found this year with a rock tumbler. I was using pea gravel, vinegar, sea salt, and laundry detergent.... I let them roll for about 4 hours and when I poured them out they looked pretty good at first but when I went to rub them off under water and lay them on a towel after a few minutes they tunred GREEN lol... I got tired of fooling with them and went to bed and this morning all coins were even greener.... I only had quarters and dimes in the drum... So what caused this and how can i get the green off... Thanks guys...
