This rock was found in a field where I have found lots of artifacts. The area I found it in had no other visable rounded rocks. This field is not near the river.

yep, just looks like a rock, but they took advantage of some.look for wear.

I figured as much. I though it may be something for a few reasons. One is because it is smooth, and not porous like other flint nodules I've found. Some of the lines look very straight, and some look carved, to me anyways. Also I found lots of artifacts in the area. The artifacts I found were all found within a 50 yardx 10 yard area. I will gather my finds together and post a picture. Thank you all for your input.

I love the pink looking piece in the bottom left corner. Is it a hafted scraper? You really hit the jackpot all the beautiful pieces in such a small area! Congratulations!

Even though there isnt any water present now in the area at one time there was by all of the worked flint you are finding. Nice ones
