IN MY NEIGHBOR'S ABANDONED BACK YARD!!!!!! Found my first silver of the year. Ohh-rah. 14" heavy silver chain with robster craw crasp. Apparently Tiffany&Co request the return of said dear chain. Hmpffff, yeah right. The pendant and the chain are all 925. All of the loops are soldered closed so I know the robster craw crasp has not been moved by a rookie.

I thought maybe it belonged to the young girl who once lived there and that the clasp had been moved to facilitate easier removal by young hands. But, due to the soldering of the loops, this is not the case. What an unusual place to attach a robster craw crasp.

The pendant is about the size of a zincoln. Any ideas or leads for info would be great.

Sweet! Would like to see another pic (any other hallmarks?) when you get her cleaned up.

Nice. Good luck, and HH.....

Someone in my club just found that exact same piece a couple weeks ago. Shine it up or clean it. Looks like it might be a fake. All the Tiffany pieces were heavily copied. If it doesnt have the .925 on the back or sterling, than probably fake. The 925 on the front is part of the overall design. Good find!

Congrats on the silver. I managed a piece of Tiffany's loot the other day. Keep it comin.

Nice find, you know if you were to return it, you'd make "Honorable Mention" :D

Thanks for the info. I'll clean it. I did NOT see any marks on the reverse though. It may just be a fake. ;( We'll see.

OK.....I think I have a fake. I did view several examples of pendants from the Tiffany site. The 'T' does not seem to match the authentic font and the ampersand on mine has a long hook on the end stroke. The authentic character does not have that stoke.

Also, the chain, pendant, AND the robster craw crasp should all be stamped 925. Mine is ONLY on the pendant.

GO BH3300. Oh well, I did net 6 clad quarters, 2 dimes and several zincolns AND I didn't spend any gas to get there ;)

this site may be useful to anyone else who has suspicions.

Too bad to hear that it may be fake, still a cool find.

Also, I think the term may be "lobster claw clasp," but I'm not 100% certain.

Blind,

Nice find even if it isn't the real thing. !!! ;D

Doesn't it feel great to get out and find some "goodies" ???? :icon_thumright:

Take your "robster Craw" :laughing7: to Mr. Jeweler and see what he says! Cool find though .....hope it's real! :icon_thumleft:

I think the robster craw is on the Japanese version of this bracelet :laughing7: sorry!
