V3i, MXT-All Pro and Equinox 800
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Last week I picked up an MXT All-Pro as a second detector (everyone needs a second detector, right?) and finally had a chance to try it out it at an older park for the first time.

I started out digging several early Wheats and then an 8-cent “pocket-spill” that included an 1891 V-Nickel. Not far from where I found the pocket spill, I locked on to another deep target which yielded an 1898 Barber Dime.
Out of curiosity, I measured it’s recovery depth and it was no less than 9” deep.

By the end of my hunt, I had found another V-Nickel (1887), a few newer foreign coins, the remains of a wooden-handle fork(?), and a small, slush-mold tea-cup (CrackerJack prize?).

I’m looking forward to getting out again. . . if it ever stops raining.

Thanks for looking!

Your Barber 10c looks great!!! Some nice saves for sure!!:occasion14:

That's a great hunt I'd say! Lots of oldies, and that teacup could be from a doll playset?

mxt series are my favorite!!!! Great digs!!!

Great finds! 2 V nickels wow! The detector is working great for you.

Congrats!! Thats a pretty good day for breaking in a new machine! Good story too.
Deep targets, 8-9", it might not be the backup detector any more!!! :occasion14:

PS - Yes, everyone needs a second detector, and one to keep in the car and a backup and an extra in case someone wants to try out detecting.
I know, I am crazy, thats why they only let me out on the weekend!!!:laughing7::tongue3:

That barber looks almost new!!!!!! Congrats!!!
