Went out west today and a park was located next to the house that Teak had gotten permission to detect. I was in my glory with a ring on the first hit. It turned out to be junk though. The park yielded 16 Q; 42 D; 5 N; 124 P; '34 Wheatie. Some of those coins were from the unlocked vacuum next to a gas station. A pearl junk earring also came out of the vacuum but you never know!!! Could be gold one day!

Then I ventured into the yard under the clothes line!! My all time favorite place to hunt and got a '18 Merc. Great - silver - I'm happy but a few feet behind the Merc was this....

And your colonial silver streak continues ...... That's part of a 1 reale. It's rather unusual to see those pillar style coins being cut. By then the practice of cutting coins had almost died out. I think out of all the cut pieces I've found only 1 or 2 of them are from pillar coins. I know you're happy with that merc too. Nice going!!

Great finds, keep it up.

I would love that silver too. Very nice

Nice colonial silver. Even better that you found the "good" half, with date. Congrats.
