Well got off work early yesterday and decide to do some swinging at my coin site , at this particular site I have found so many awesome coins and civil war relics and colonial relics its just not even funny and the site just keeps producing. After the last few trips the ATP stopped finding targets so I have been using my XLT at this site which produced a nice shinny Morgan dollar and Chinese cash token a eagle breast plate a new york button ,some mercury dimes and lots of IH 's all pretty deep . So while I was there yesterday I remembered about the DC phase and decide to give a try on a area I hit very ,very hard and didnt think there was anything left there , ha to my surprise the XLT showed me a thing or two and the detecting gods shinned upon me bringing loud deep targets to life like they were on top of the ground I pulled the IH out of the ground at 10 inches no joke !The ground here is good but lots of iron and trash so I put it in coin mode , gain at 6 ,vco on , ratchet pinpointing off , tone id on , DC phase on , ac sensitivity to 68 ,dc sensitivity to 35 and bam within the short 45 minute hunt I found a 1906 barber, a 1905 IH and a 1924 Buffalo knickel. I am hoping the weather works out for tomorrow and my digging buddy DHD is able to finally get out and do some door knocking for C.W relics . Thanks for looking !
