I Lost and Then I Found!

Suppose this is proof one needs to be watching out for things everywhere.

About a month ago I noticed something missing from my wallet. I had earned a little motorcycle jacket patch last April at an event and stashed it in my wallet. This isn't one of those patches where anyone can get them; only about six were earned here this year and no replacements are available.

After tearing apart my apartment, truck and motorcycle, without finding it, I decided it was lost forever.

In preparation for some planned MD hunts, I have taken up walking and/or hiking a couple of miles a day. Usually I walk in the evening after the sun goes down. 6 AM yesterday morning it was nice and somewhat cloudy so I decided to go for my walk then, rather than yesterday evening.

Also, rather than take my normal route, I decided to divert through some parking lots and near some drainage areas to look at the recent flooding effects. Sometimes flash floods here can wash up rings, change and the like, depositing them with washed up rocks and heavier rubble.

So, I am walking through a parking lot, one that is not on my normal route, and what the heck do I find? The patch that was lost a month ago! Seriously, WHAT are the odds? It rained off and on, and the wind blew quite strongly last weekend.

Maybe proof that we should always be alert; never know what you may find.

Oh, by the end of the day, that patch was sewn onto my jacket. :tongue3:
