I know it's a pipe bowl. What's embossing mean?

This is a privy find. Is the embossing an old joke or what? Thanks for any input. DD.

My searches yeilded 'jack'
but that piece is a looker

Must be a rare one, cant find one like it.
Dont see it as a joke , a jack is a male donkey females are jennys.

And, if you cross a male horse and a female donkey, you get a Hinny. Charles Fey made a 3 JACKS slot machine circa 1910, which I'm assuming is referring to playing cards instead of jackasses, but the association with gambling, smoking, drinking, bars, etc. may be the connection. If you look around the jack, you can see an edge as in the shape of a playing card. . . .or it could be a 'political' connection. I'm leading toward a gambling theme.
