Can you post the diameter of it?
It should be about 27.5 MM of a Braided Hair large cent.
Also if its not worn out or counterfeit its should be about 10.89g.

Donny
Hi Donny, Thanks for looking. I will post the diameter and weight. I do not have a scale but
can find someone that does. Where does one find those scales and what is a good brand?
Randy
I got mine several years ago from this website, their quick shipping surprised me and I have had no problems with my scale, just make sure you get one in your budget range and that it would be great if you get one that has GRAINS, besides the normal grams, and other weights. Grains are how colonial and early federal coins are weighed. Large Cents are done in grams however.
Features that should be on a digital scale for those of us who find jewelry, colonial coins and US coins.
GRAMS - resolution .01 grams (Hundredths)
GRAINS - resolution .1 grains (tenths) Grain measurement is not on most scales so must look carefully.......
Usually the pocket scales that say they measure like 5-8 different modes of weight usually include all you need, but again, since you are in an area with a possibility of colonial coppers, make sure it includes grains.
Price range for a scale like that from this site probably in the mid $30-$40 range. Or try e-bay, but this website has been around for quite a few years and I'm sure is very secure to deal with, I had no problems whatsoever.
Here is the website I used, and one possible scale with features needed below this url.

As an example, not saying this is the one to buy, but this scale has all that is needed, weighs in hundredths for grams and tenths for grains.

All diameters are in mm, usually a good ruler will suffice for that or for a relatively small amount there are digital calibers out there for $20-$40 range.
